Age discrimination :-)
16/12/2005
I understand the need and importance of supporting young pianists and warmly applaud your efforts.
However, as health care and diet improve, and people live longer and more fullsome lives, some of us who are returning to music/paino after far too many decades away, would also like the excitement of this kind of competition. What about a 'seniors' division?
Thanks and best wishes, Jim Lichtenberg

congratulations
16/12/2005
To Yasha Bistritzky - You have created a great tradition with the 10 Rubinstein competitions which you led for the past 30 years . We know you were concerned with the continuation. You can now be assured that this lifetime project of yours will continue and develop and bring you much "naches".
To Edith Zvi - congratulations for a superb competition. You have upgraded the event by reaching the public and the media and making it a very important musical event. Your talents as a pianist and a director of musical events have justified the transfer of the torch to the younger generation. We all support you and wish you the best of luck in the development of the Arthur Rubinstein Society.

website & 11th competition
16/12/2005
Dear Idit,
Congratulation for a wonderfully designed and highly informative website, and thank you for making the 11th competition reach out to the world, through your live broadcasting. It is fully exciting and a real pleasure, although being miles away, to ‘follow’ the competition throughout the stages.
Bravo!

Eilat
16/12/2005
It was a real pleasure to be in Eilat for the chamber music part of the semi-finals. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the playing. I do not envy the judges that will have to decide between such exciting young musicians.
At first I thought it will be a heavy burden to listen 4 times, one after the other, to the same Dvorak Piano Quintet, but it appeared to be a fantastic musical experience. Each pianist gave quite a different interpretation and the wonderful Aviv Quartet successfully helped each player to bring forward his own musical inner world.
Alltogether it was a beautiful weekend. Many thanks to the staff of Isrotel Royal Garden for hosting the event and many thanks to Idit Zvi for the way she manages the competition improving on past events and bringing fresh ideas and more listeners to the events. Kol Hakavod!!!!
I am anxiously waiting for the "Conceri" semi-finals and finals at the Mann Auditorium in Tel-Aviv

Your web site should serve as a model for all other piano competitions. I can’t wait to see what it holds for Stage II. Mazel Tov!
