It
is my pleasure
to welcome you
- Competitors,
Jury Members
and Music Lovers
- to the 11th
Arthur Rubinstein
International
Piano Master
Competition,
and it is my
privilege to
continue the
tradition of
the Competition
which has been
a resounding
success from
its inception
in 1974. The
Competition
was founded
on the relationship
between Arthur
Rubinstein and
his friend Jacob
Bistritzky,
who initiated,
established
and directed
ten Competitions,
spanning a period
of 30 consecutive
years.
The previous
ten Arthur Rubinstein
International
Piano Master
Competitions
were a most
exciting musical
experience.
The Competition
is a meeting
place for superb
pianists, world-renowned
jury members,
and an encouraging,
warm and enthusiastic
public. This
juncture has
always been
one of the secrets
of the success
of the Competition:
the competitors
who pass rigorous
screening, the
members of the
jury who are
of the highest
expertise and
the ever-faithful
public whose
musical insight
and culture
carry important
and beneficial
feedback. In
addition, the
enthusiasm with
which these
delegates of
many nationalities
are welcomed
adds to the
warm and unique
feeling present
during the Competition.
As a result, the Arthur
Rubinstein International Piano Master
Competitions have become a unique inspirational musical experience that
has acquired world prestige as well as a reputation of excellence in
the international piano community, while bringing pride and pleasure to
the cultural life in Israel.
I offer my sincere gratitude to
all our supporters who have provided
their help, concern and care in order to ensure the success of the
upcoming event. I also offer my heartfelt wishes of good luck to
all the young talented pianists who will soon have the opportunity to
expose their talent and artistry in the 11th Arthur Rubinstein
International Piano Master Competition.
