Idith Zvi

Artistic Director
With great pleasure I extend once again my warm greetings to the competitors,
distinguished jury members and highly appreciated audience, those music lovers
who have been loyal to us throughout the years. Three years have gone by very
quickly since the last Competition and the 12th Competition is already here, shortly
before the celebrations of Israel’s 60th anniversary.

The Rubinstein Competition was established 30 years ago, halfway through Israel’s
years of existence. The beautiful ideology to create a top-rate artistic event that
represents Israel’s highest level of artistry is still the goal of the present management.
We have done and will continue doing our best to show our high standards to the
world and to spread the spirit of the great Arthur Rubinstein, who devotedly played
in Israel, and who was on the Jury in the first two competitions.

We are very proud to host a world renowned team of adjudicators and highly
acclaimed competitors. About 150 candidates applied to the Competition this year.
All of them proved to be highly eligible to compete, rendering the selection process
difficult. Soon they will have to climb the steep slopes of the challenging
12th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.

I would like to express my thanks and sincere gratitude to all our supporters, including
the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport and the Tel Aviv Municipality who are always
there to provide us with the utmost assistance in order to ensure the high standard of the competition and secure its long-lasting existence. I would also like to thank our loyal
volunteers and small office team who have contributed immensely to the success of
this project.

I wish good luck to all the young talented pianists and a very enjoyable Competition
to everybody.
