of the Jury Meeting held at the end of Stage III (Final), on April
1st 2001. After votes were screened, in accordance with the rules
of the Competition, the following prizes were awarded:
First Prize - KIRILL GERSTEIN -
The Arthur Rubinstein Award - Competition Gold Medal and US$25,
000 donated by Mme Heide Wolf Kaufmann (Madrid).
Kawai Prize - a grand piano (RX-3) offered by Kawai Company of Japan.

Competition Silver Medal and "The Moshe Mayer Prize" -
US$15,000.
Jury's Special Prize sponsored by YAMAHA - Silent Grand Piano C1S.

Prize - MASSIMILIANO FERRATI -
Competition Bronze Medal and US$10,000 - "The Arnold and Marjorie
Ziff Prize" (Leeds); and an additional US$5,000 from Elfriede
Yuki Fund.
